Andreas Tomblin’s work was produced as a collection of images.
They are direct observations and subconscious reactions made to the urban environment we live in, and the effect that environment has on us.
Deep-rooted influences on his work stem from the immediateness of drawing. In this case automatic drawing. This is an experimental form of drawing that uses techniques similar to the way in which Andre Breton experimented with automatic writing.
The out come of this displays a great freedom of mark making within the images and at the same time expands the creative process and perception.
